戦争を風化させない会について

この会について

　「戦争を風化させない会」は在留邦人芳賀建介氏が発案し地元の服部章、ジーン・カマチョ両氏と共に戦跡清掃、戦没者慰霊祭を挙行し以後事業を発展させた集まりで、現在は芳賀氏、グアム戦争親族の押尾泰典氏、一般有志、戦争遺族達によって運営する非営利非宗教非政治の団体です。会は一般賛同者によって支えられ、支援者に衆参両議院の日本国国会議員、またグアム側からはグアム政府知事、副知事、グアム議会議員、村長と一般民間人が協賛している公共の団体です。
　ミクロネシア海域における大東亜戦争（太平洋戦争）の日米戦没者とグアム戦に於ける地元民犠牲者を靖國神社神官の齋行と寺住職の法要によって始まった慰霊祭が、年を重ねていく間に「戦争を風化させない会」に発展し、鎮魂慰霊例祭になりました。会の趣旨は戦跡掃除を始め遺骨調査、戦跡に栞看板を立てることを含めて、年一度集団による太平洋周辺で戦没した戦没者と地元民犠牲者の「鎮魂慰霊祭」を挙行し、先人の愛国心と犠牲的精神を受け継ぎ社会貢献を通じて後世へ伝承することを目的としています。

About Association to keep the war from fading

The "Association to Keep the War from Fading Away" was started by Kensuke Haga, a Japanese living in Guam, and developed with Akira Hattori and Eugean Camacho to clean up war sites and hold memorial services for the war dead.
The Association is a non-profit, non-religious, non-political organization and now run by the founder Ken Haga, primarily Guam War Relative Yasunori Oshio, the general public, and Guam War bereaved families.
It is a public organization supported by the general public, and its supporters include members of both houses of the Diet, as well as the Vice Governor of Guam, members of the Guam Legislature, and village mayors from the Guam side.
　The memorial service for the Japanese and U.S. war dead of the Greater East Asia War (Pacific War) in the Micronesian Sea area and the local victims of the battle of Guam was started by the priest of Yasukuni Shrine and the Buddhist memorial service by the priest of the temple. The purpose of the association is to hold an annual group "Requiem and Memorial Service" for the war dead in the Pacific region and local victims, including cleaning up war sites, investigating remains, and erecting bookmark signs at war sites, and to hand down the patriotic and sacrificial spirit of our ancestors to future generations through social contribution.
